Dr Safa got accepted into La Trobe University on a Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence. After graduating with her Masters of Dentistry she has since invested heavily into continual development of her skills (because learning never stops!) making her confident in managing root canals, crowns, extractions, gum health and aesthetic smile designing.
Dr. Safa Jamshed is an airway-focused dentist helping children and families to grow, breathe, and sleep better. She looks beyond just the teeth—assessing how the jaws, airway, and oral habits are developing. Many common concerns like crowded teeth, mouth breathing, snoring, tongue ties, and poor sleep can be early signs of underlying airway issues. Dr. Safa developed a special interest in interceptive (early) orthodontics when her daughter Aisha was born with a tongue tie and had trouble feeding. As Aisha grew, she developed trouble with mouth breathing, crowded teeth and a narrow palate. Not finding answers to
help her daughter, Dr Safa decided to pursue further study in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics.
Now Dr Safa can provide a holistic approach to guiding jaw development while children are still growing. This approach can simplify or reduce the need for braces later on and significantly improve feeding, speech, breathing and long-term development. Her care is holistic, practical, honest, and tailored to busy families—focused on early answers, clear plans, and long-term health.
Dr Safa has a patient-first approach with the belief that the best dental treatment option for the patient is the one that fits holistically in with the rest of their life.
When Dr Safa is not in clinic, she can be found with her 3-year old daughter cuddling in bed, swinging in the park or sneakily baking spinach into ‘chocolate’ muffins. She loves yoga, meditating and personal development podcasts.
